Congratulations to Ethan for his Certificate of Merit.  He has worked hard on developing all his maths skills and we are impressed with his fabulous learning! Bravo, Ethan.

Our Safe Walking Mural

We made this eye-catching mural to show people walking safely and crossing carefully at pedestrian crossings.

Painted Paper

Today we started work on our next art project which is to create interesting sheets of painted paper.  We went outdoors to do some wax crayon rubbings on various surfaces. The concrete, bricks, painted walls, tar, metal seating, rubber matting and bark from a tree all provided wonderful patterns and textures.  Here we are in action -

Safe Walking and Travelwise Week

Our school has taken part in Travelwise Week and we have all tried to participate.  By walking, we help to cut down on all the traffic around our school and it keeps us healthy too. Many thanks to all of you who participated and for those of you who regularly walk instead of drive.

  

Constable White has been also been at school this week to help us learn to be safe when we walk on the road.  She spent time talking to us in our classroom about the importance of crossing roads safely, then she met with us in the hall with some of our road patrol senior students. They gave us a demonstration on how to use the pedestrian crossing.  Finally we were ready to put all this learning into practice and we showed how well we crossed the road.  Keep it up, everyone.  Remember to cross at the pedestrian crossing and not risk crossing where it isn't safe.

ICT Update

Our ICT skills are constantly being developed.  Each day there are opportunities to work on class computers, laptops or Ipads.  On Fridays we have access to the ICT suite where we work on various applications or websites.  We used Tagxedo to make the word art projects below.
