Update on our classroom caterpillars

How exciting to see our monarch caterpillar start to turn into a chrysalis this morning!  When we arrived at school, he had already attached himself to a branch and was hanging upside down, looking like a J.  When we got back from our morning assembly - the caterpillar had disappeared and he was now a perfect chrysalis!!  How amazing:)

Below is a video showing a range of beautiful butterflies.  Next week we are going to look more closely at the parts of a butterfly as we continue our study on insects.


The photo below is of the insect interest display which our wonderful children continue to add to.  Each day some special person brings an insect to school to share with us.
